Bake and shark is a much loved Trinidadian street food, a stuffed sandwich made from fry bake, a soft fried flatbread, split and filled with seasoned, battered and fried fish, traditionally shark, then loaded with fresh salads and many sauces and toppings. It is famously sold at Maracas Bay beach, and diners build their own. Because it contains fish it is not for those with a fish allergy, and many versions now use other fish.
