Aaron Jones Hairdressing - Wirral

I chose this salon after reading so many positive reviews and genuinely thought I was going to have a great experience. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I went in asking for a dark brown colour all over, with lighter brown babylights to be added afterwards at second appointment. I was advised that the existing colour would first need to be removed. During the colour removal stage, my hair became very bright ginger, but I was reassured not to worry as I was told the full dark brown colour would then be applied all over. Unfortunately, I left with dark brown roots fading into a very warm brown, and over the following two weeks it has become increasingly ginger. I simply don’t understand how I ended up with dark brown roots going into what now looks like a ginger balayage effect when the aim was for a dark brown result. When I expressed that I wasn’t completely happy before leaving the salon, I was advised to use a toner and told that the warmth would cool down and the result I wanted would come through. I’ve used the toner consistently for the last two weeks exactly as advised, but instead of improving, my hair has become even more ginger. What has disappointed me most is that I now feel the responsibility has been placed back onto me, with comments about not knowing how hair will react. Had that been explained to me before the service, I could have made an informed decision about whether to proceed or what result might realistically be achievable. Instead, I left believing the warmth would settle with toner, which unfortunately hasn’t happened. The appointment cost me £170, which is a lot of money, especially to then have to pay another salon to correct the result. As this was supposed to be my wedding hair, I’m absolutely gutted. I put my trust in a new salon and instead I’ve been left feeling upset and disappointed. I contacted the salon privately before leaving this review, hoping we could come to a resolution. Aaron replied promptly and offered to inspect and correct my hair, which I do appreciate. However, after my original experience I’ve unfortunately lost confidence in returning for further colour services and have already booked another salon to correct it. I never like leaving negative reviews, but I also feel it’s important to share my honest experience. I genuinely wish things had turned out differently.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I honestly cannot recommend Aaron Jones Hairdressing enough. I was told by another salon that there was nothing that could be done except to keep washing it and wait. I left feeling completely deflated and convinced I was stuck with it. Thankfully, I booked in with Aaron, and from the moment I sat in his chair, I knew I was in safe hands. He was honest, and incredibly knowledgeable, explaining exactly what had happened and what needed to be done to improve the colour. His expertise and confidence immediately put me at ease. The salon itself is absolutely gorgeous, with such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Every member of staff was friendly, supportive, and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. Aaron's experience and skill are truly outstanding. He knew exactly what to do from the beginning and worked his magic to achieve a result I honestly didn't think was possible. He fixed an issue that another salon had told me wasn't fixable! I am so grateful for everything Aaron and the team did. They completely restored my confidence and genuinely saved the day. Sophie cut my hair today and I was beyond impressed from the moment I walked into the salon. From the greenery as I looked up as my hair was being washed, from the care and attention as the towel was wrapped around my head afterwards (no wet back!) to the warm and friendly atmosphere. I loved the friendliness between the hairdressers and just how good Sophie was with me. I had a few pictures to hand to describe what I wanted my hair to look like and I described my own routine so we discussed what would work; this helped massively. Not only did I leave with a cut that's beautiful, I left knowing where my new salon is that treated me well. Definitely head over here! Super pleased Thank you so so much!
