Had all the food items we went for and more so would definitely recommend! Only con is the smell so if you’re a bit more sensitive to smell, may not be the place for you Again. Wide variety of options

Always friendly and willing to help when asking questions! Generally have everything I need to buy but be aware at busy times such as Eid and Christmas to get there early to avoid disappointment. Great staff, great food, my favourite local African/Caribbean superstore 😁

Motherland is located by the foot of the Fitzwaren roundabout, close to Tesco Extra, Aldi, Bronte Court and Maddison in the heart of Salford City. I you're on the look out for a shop where you can buy African foods and accessories, and you live in or are around Salford, this could be the place! I can confirm that they've got quite a broad assortment of food items for sale. I can't comment so much on the "Carribean" recipes, but this can be your go-to shop for African food and drinks. Ranging from rice, to beans, fresh pepper, onions, ginger, vegetables, meat and fish, semo, even already made fufu, and all the condiments you may require to make your soups and other delicacies . . . the list is endless, essentially! That's where I get my supply of my favouritw, chilled, Nigerian Guinness stout. Lol. But to be fair, it is places like Motherland that make this place feel a little like home.

Variety of African foods at reasonable prices with friendly staff. Halal meat also available from goat meat, lamb, beef, cow leg to cow tail.
