As a big BBQ fan, Massey’s do some really special cuts of meat. Their beef is extremely well aged (you can see it in the window) and they often have rare breed beef in too. I’ve had steaks and cuts for low n slo (recently a whole flat brisket) - all were sensational!

Absolutely love Masseys Butchers in Heswall. They’ve managed to keep that proper traditional butcher feel where they know their customers, while also updating and modernising the shop without losing any of its charm. The quality of the produce is always amazing — you can really tell the difference. On top of that, they’ve set up a WhatsApp group sharing regular deals, which is a brilliant idea and genuinely helpful, especially with how things are at the moment. Great service, great quality, and a great local business that’s clearly evolving in all the right ways. Highly recommend!

Msssey's Butchers, Dei and Wine shop was established in 1968 and is located along Telegraph Road in the centre of Heswall. almost directly opposite Heswall Library and near the junction with Downham Road South. It has been serving Heswall customers for over 55 years and has a strong loyal customer base due largely because it is a High Class business with experienced, friendly staff who are well acquainted with their primary trade as butchers. Customers can expect "service with a smile" and meats on offer are top of the class. Prices are reasonable and I think they do offer a delivery service too. Opening House are as follows:- Monday - Friday: 0800 - 17:00 Saturday: 08:00 - 14:30 Sunday: Closed Seasonal offers on meats always available. A top quality butchers shop with a good reputation around Heswall which is much deserved. Excellent butcher! Varied selection of high quality meat. Very friendly staff who are always keen to provide exactly what I want or whatever the recipe I’m doing demands. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
