Lovely little bakery I happened to stumble on whilst visiting a friend nearby. Affordable and nice food with some lovely service. Young girl with some piercings served me and made sure that I was taken care of and was very helpful. Will be visiting again when I'm next in the area.

Funny how this review was meant to be about the food, then you realise it is only made worse by the service. I walked into a very quiet shop, plenty of staff about ( 3 I think) I stood by the hot food counter and the lady at the counter never even looked up at me she never even acknowledged that I was there, I know she was doing something but just a quick hello or I will be with you in a minute, just to acknowledge your presence, nothing she just turned and walked away. I stood there a short while, I was the only customer in the shop, another lady glanced at me and ignored me, a younger girl then came to the counter and barely spoke I know I’m older but I couldn’t hear a word she said, I told her I would like a bacon and black pudding barm. That was it really no personality no conversation no banter or even a smile, I know I was in a bakery but come on it costs nothing and it takes no time to speak or be nice. Anyway my thought to do a review was initially about the food. Omg I’ve never seen smaller barms anywhere in my life, to give you an idea if you were to put a small fried egg on the barn it would have been hanging over the sides. Just One rasher of bacon and the smallest size black pudding possible. For £3-80 it was not good value for money only made worse by bad service.

We come to hursts most days and it’s always very lovely but there is a young girl who works there with a few face piercings, she is not very enthusiastic she never smiles and food is just slapped together, it’s never just the odd occasion it’s constantly reoccurring. Service with a smile costs nothing I suppose. But other than that amazing food always & the workers are very bubbly people
