My go-to place for African grocery shopping. I was one of the first customers to walk through their doors years ago on the very day and moment they opened. It's a pleasure to see how they've expanded and provide the very same service they did way back then.

Rude staff and bad customer service. Just ignore you and don’t even talk to you or look at you when serving you at the till. It’s a shame because it’s a good shop with lots of things but I prefer the one in openshaw as they’re more friendly.

So glad I found this place! If you want African or Caribbean foods for a good price, you’ll find them here. They have fresh veg, meat, as well as shelf products like peas, seasonings etc. I was looking for Jamaican bun and found it here for a fraction of the price that Old Trafford Bakery was selling it for (£2 vs £9). I was impressed that their stuff was imported from Jamaica and that the prices were still reasonable. Highly recommended. Plus it’s black owned!

I had a hard time finding an African store in Chester. Had to travel down to Manchester to get stuffs from here. On sighting Maggi star and Knorr cubes, I almost drop a tear, as I had been eating burger and chips for days. I couldn’t help but take a picture. The prices are fair and you’re certainly going to get lots of things you need in there.

Lovely place. Fair prices, but I can get many of the items sold here at a cheaper rate from the Kensington superstore in Liverpool.. Friendly staff... I wish they had a price tag on all, if not most of what they sell, that way you don't have to ask them what things cost.. I got a pack of assorted meat for pepper soup. Would I visit again? Not likely, but I guess it's great for people who live in Manchester...
