Editorial Principles
This page is a draft placeholder so the URL exists and doesn't 404. The copy below has not been through the editorial/legal review the master URL register requires — treat it as a starting point, not published fact.
Named authors and reviewers
Every blog post, recipe and glossary entry is attributed to a named author, and where relevant a named reviewer with relevant expertise — see /authors. We don't publish anonymous editorial content.
Fact-checking
Factual claims (ingredient origins, cultural context, nutritional information) are checked against multiple sources before publishing. Store data (hours, addresses, contact details) is sourced from the business itself or public records, and flagged for review when it looks stale.
Use of AI
AI tools may assist with drafting, research summarisation or translation, but every published piece is reviewed and approved by a named human author before it goes live. AI is not used to fabricate quotes, statistics, reviews or business details.
Directory listings vs. editorial content
Store listings are directory data, not editorial opinion — see the coverage rule in our URL structure documentation for how we decide which directory pages exist. Editorial content (blog, recipes, glossary) follows this separate editorial process.
